Whip Up a Batch of Flavorful Homemade Infused Ketchup
Ketchup is a beloved staple in kitchens around the world, but have you ever considered giving this classic condiment a cannabis-infused twist? In this article, we'll guide you through the process of creating homemade infused ketchup, a versatile and delicious addition to your pantry.
Ingredients:

* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped (optional for a spicy ketchup - or use a hotter pepper for more heat)
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
* 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
* 1/4 cup cannabis-infused olive oil (see note below)
* 2 tablespoons brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Note: To make cannabis-infused olive oil, combine 1/4 cup olive oil with 1-2 grams of decarboxylated cannabis in a double boiler or a heat-resistant glass container. Heat the mixture on low for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Strain the oil through a cheesecloth to remove any plant material.
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and jalapeno pepper (if using) and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent.
2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, apple cider vinegar, cannabis-infused olive oil, brown sugar, dry mustard powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the ketchup has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the ketchup cool to room temperature.
6. Transfer the cooled ketchup to an airtight container or glass jar and store it in the refrigerator. The ketchup should last for up to 2 weeks when refrigerated.

Enjoy your homemade infused ketchup on burgers, fries, hot dogs, or any of your favorite dishes!
Remember that edibles, including infused condiments like ketchup, can have delayed effects compared to other cannabis consumption methods. Start with a small amount, and be patient to gauge your individual response before indulging in more. Always consume responsibly and within the legal limits of your jurisdiction.
